NTR Jr’s Devara Breaks Records; Melbourne IMAX Tickets Sell Out Within 2 Minutes

After the massive success of RRR, audience have been eagerly waiting to see NTR Jr on the big screen again and the wait is about to get over with Devara: Part 1’s release. Ever since the film has been announced, it has remained in the headlines for some reason or the other. The latest buzz is about the film selling out all its tickets at the world’s second-largest IMAX screen in Melbourne, and that too within two minutes.

This unprecedented demand is a testament to the immense excitement and anticipation surrounding the film, both domestically and internationally.

The record-breaking IMAX ticket sales in Melbourne are just the latest example of the film’s global appeal. Over 10,000 tickets have been sold for Devara: Part 1 in the UK to date.

Earlier, the film’s premiere pre-sales had already surpassed $1 million, even before the trailer was released. These numbers demonstrate the unwavering support and dedication of NTR Jr.’s fans, who are eager to welcome their favourite actor back to the screen after a six-year hiatus with a solo release.

Devara: Part 1- About The Film

Devara: Part 1 is scheduled to hit theaters on September 27, 2024. Directed by Koratala Siva and produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, the film also stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor.

The film’s official announcement was made in early 2021 with the tentative title NTR30. It was only in May 2023 that the makers announced the final name and also shared that the story will be presented in two parts – Devara 1 and 2.

The film has been shot in several parts of India including Hyderabad, Goa, Shamshabad, Vishakapatnam as well as in Thailand. The music has been composed by young talent Anirudh Ravichander.
