‘No one has ever seen me and Batman together’: Rahul Gandhi’s viral reply during Instagram AMA steals the show, here’s what he said

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi grabbed attention on Thursday with a humorous response during his new “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) session on Instagram, where he answered questions from students and Gen Z on topics ranging from politics to education.

Asked if he was Batman, Gandhi joked, “Let’s just say that no one has ever seen me and Batman in the same room together!” The witty response quickly became one of the most talked-about moments from the interactive session.

Sharing the initiative on X, Gandhi wrote, “Students, Gen-Z — I’m here to listen. Ask me anything on Instagram, and I’ll answer as many questions as I can.” The Congress later shared video clips of his responses.

What did Rahul Gandhi say about the Jharkhand student protest?

Responding to a question on the ongoing student protest in Jharkhand over alleged irregularities in recruitment exams, Gandhi said the demonstrations reflected a larger problem with India’s education system.

He said the education system had “collapsed”, calling it unaffordable and oppressive. Gandhi also said every government, whether at the Centre, a Congress-ruled state or the Jharkhand government, should listen to students and take action to reform the education system.

The protest in Jharkhand entered its 13th day on Thursday. Six protesters are on a hunger strike, while students and job aspirants have formed an 11-member delegation to hold talks with the state government. The protest, which began on July 25 under the banner of the JPSC-JSSC Reforms Manch, has become one of the state’s biggest student-led movements in recent years.

Why did Rahul Gandhi criticise the education system?

When asked whether India’s education system is producing enough thinkers, Gandhi claimed it was instead “destroying thinkers”. He alleged that the RSS had captured the education system and said young Indians were being discouraged from thinking independently.

On women’s rights, Gandhi said women deserve equal, and even greater, space in every sphere of life. He criticised the way women are treated in society, educational institutions and the corporate sector, while encouraging young women to remain confident and fearless.
