No differences in Karnataka BJP, state govt doing ‘good job’ under CM Yediyurappa: Arun Singh

BJP’s Karnataka in-charge Arun Singh said there are no differences in Karnataka BJP, and the state government is doing a good job under Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa.

A meeting between Yediyurappa, Arun Singh, and other state ministers was held at the party’s state office earlier today.

“There are no differences in the party, and we are united. Commendable work is being done under CM Yediyurappa’s leadership,” he added.

Singh, who is currently in Bengaluru on a three-day visit to the state, made no direct statement on the leadership change stating that he has already spoken on the issue.

‘All our party workers, Minister and legislators are united.’

This remark from Singh comes amid speculation in some quarters that Yediyurappa might be replaced.

All our party workers, Minister and legislators are united; there are no differences of any kind, Singh said and also told them to work in their respective constituencies for the people and take the BJP forward in the state.

On Thursday, Singh will have one-on-one meetings with legislators and Ministers who want to meet him, and on Friday, he will take part in the state BJP core committee meeting.

‘Congress only involved in levelling allegations’

Singh lauded the state government, Chief Minister and Ministers, saying they worked day and night during the COVID-19 pandemic and have served the people.

“We will review the work that has happened as part of the ‘Seva Hi Sangathan’ programme under which our workers during COVID-19 pandemic did 11 kinds of ‘Seva’ at the ground level, and see how we can take it forward,” PTI quoted Singh as saying.

Slamming the opposition, the BJP leader alleged that Congress was only involved in levelling allegations and took a dig at the JD(S), saying it was under quarantine during the pandemic.

Few ministers and legislators have raised concern over Yediyurappa’s allegedly autocratic style of functioning and the interference of his sons in government-related matters.
