Allegations of a large number of families of Covid-19 victims in Kerala being denied compensation as directed by the Supreme Court of India is completely false as “no deserving family would be excluded from the financial aid”, Kerala Health Minister Veena George said on Friday.

She said that Kerala was the first state in India to set up ‘COVID Death Assessment Committees’ in line with the Centre’s revised guidelines, and accelerated the proceedings to provide death certificates to family members of COVID-19 victims.
