Nitish Kumar Reddy in Legal Trouble Over ₹5 Crore Dues! Agency Files Case Against Him: Reports

Indian all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has found himself in legal trouble just days after being sidelined for the rest of the England Test series due to injury. A Bengaluru-based talent management firm, Square The One, has filed a lawsuit against the cricketer, claiming unpaid dues exceeding INR 5 crore, according to an India Today report.

Delhi High Court To Hear The Case On July 28

Currently, the court is hearing the case. Hearing at the Delhi High Court is scheduled on July 28, 2025. The case, registered as M/s Square The One Pvt. Ltd. through its Director Sh. Shiv Dhawan vs. Nitish Kumar Reddy involves a petition filed under Section 11(6) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act. According to a News18 CricketNext report, it alleges a default in fulfilling contractual obligations and non-payment of dues.

Talent Agency Claims Contract Violation

The agency claims Nitish Kumar Reddy breached the conditions of their contract and defaulted on pending payments. Their working relationship reportedly concluded during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series last year, following a three-year-old partnership.

Meanwhile, Nitish was in the limelight in the firm’s social media campaigns and branding promotions during that period. But his visibility has fallen drastically since December, indicating a quiet rift between the two factions.

Official Remains Tight-Lipped

Though the case has seen traction in the media, Shiv Dhawan, director of Square The One, confirmed the pending case but refused to make additional comments, according to News18 CricketNext.

Injury Forces Nitish Out Of England Series

In the midst of legal problems, Nitish also suffers a huge sporting loss. The BCCI recently announced that he has been ruled out of the remaining two Tests against England following a left knee injury. The bowling all-rounder played two of the first three games of the current series before being sent back home for rehabilitation.
