The National Investigation Agency (NIA), supported by CRPF personnel and Jammu and Kashmir Police, carried out early morning searches on Saturday at two locations in Anantnag district of south Kashmir.

The operations targeted the SICOP office premises in Bijbehara and a residential house in Kreeri village in the Dooru area. Officials said the raids form part of an ongoing investigation, though specific details of the case have not yet been disclosed. An official NIA handout with further information is expected later in the evening.

Sources indicated that several digital devices, including mobile phones, were seized during the searches and will undergo forensic examination.

The NIA is continuously probing terrorism and national security cases in Jammu from last few years and has conducted multiple similar operations in the Kashmir Valley as part of efforts to dismantle the terror ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir.
