SPHEREx and Punch missions will be launched by NASA on March 2 (Sunday). Both will be launched aboard a Falcon 9 rocket built by SpaceX from Launch Complex 4E at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, with the liftoff taking place at approximately 10:09 p.m. Eastern time (8:39 a.m. to Indian Standard Time on March 3).
This collaboration is an effort through NASA’s Launch Services Program, which schedules different science missions to attach to commercial vehicles to help provide cost-efficient exploration.
SPHEREx: A Wide-Angle Rendition Of The James Webb Space Telescope
SPHEREx means Spectro-Photometer for the History of the Universe, Epoch of Reionization, and Ices Explorer. The white spacecraft would serve as a wide-angle counterpart to the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). It will use spectra taken from the far infrared illuminating the early universe on a scale much larger than JWST’s.
PUNCH Mission To Investigate The Dynamics Of The Sun
1. The second mission is called PUNCH (polarimeter to unify the solar corona and heliosphere), which is focused on solar dynamics.
2. There are four satellites in orbit around the Earth trying to find out how the outer atmosphere of the sun, or the corona, grows into solar wind.
3. This data is important for understanding how changes in solar wind conditions can affect the space weather that influences power generation and astronaut health.

2. The SPHEREx mission will investigate queries regarding why cosmic inflation happened right after the beginning of time and how water came to Earth to allow for life to thrive as we know it.
3. PUNCH will determine the polarization properties of light to find orientations of various features within the solar wind cavity (CMEs, for instance), as well as the role of artificial solar eclipses in allowing for this directionality.
