ukesh Khanna recently took to his official Instagram handle and slammed the Kapil Sharma Show. In a long Instagram post that he shared, Mukesh Khanna revealed to his fans why he wasn’t seen in the recent Mahabharat cast reunion on the sets of the comedy show. He also mentioned all the complaints he had against the show.
He wrote, “This question has gone viral why Bheeshma Pitamah wasn’t a part of the Mahabharat show. Some say I wasn’t invited. Some say I refused myself. It is true that Mahabharata is incomplete without Bhishma. It is true that there is no question of not inviting. It is also true that I was the one to reject the invitation. This is also the truth that people would ask me why would I reject a popular show like Kapil Sharma. The biggest actors go there. They might go but Mukesh Khanna will not go! Gufi asked me the same question that those people are going to invite us after the Ramayana. I said, all of you go, I will not go. I was the one to refuse. (sic).”
Revealing the reason for it, Mukesh Khanna continued his post and added, “The reason is that even though the Kapil Show is popular all over the country, I don’t think there is a worse show than this. This show is full of double meaning words, taking a turn towards vulgarity with every moment. In which the men wear women’s clothes, do cheap things and people laugh, holding their stomachs (sic).”
Taking a jibe at Archana Puran Singh who appears as special guest on the show, he added, “They place someone on the throne in the center. Their job is to laugh, even if the laughter is not real. They get money for it. Before this, brother Siddhu used to sit for this work. Now sister Archana does it. And what is their job? Just to laugh (sic).”
Giving an example, he concluded his post, “I will give an example. You will understand how poor the level of comedy is in this show. All of you must have seen the Ramayan show before this one. Kapil asks Arun Govil: ‘You are taking a bath at the beach and someone from the crowd screams, ‘Hey look, Ram ji also wears VIP underwear! What will you say?’,” he said. Mukesh said that had Kapil asked him something like this, he would have shut him up. I just saw the promo. Arun Govil, who walks around with the image of Shri Ram ji, just smiled. How can you ask such a lousy question to someone whom the world seen as Lord Ram! Do not know what Arun said in response. I would have shut up Kapil. That is why I did not go
The Kapil Sharma Show had recently invited the cast of Mahabharata on its set and those who attended included Nitish Bharadwaj, Puneet Issar, Pradeep Kumar, Gajendra Chauhan, Gufi Paintal and Arjun Firoz Khan. All these actors played prominent roles in the serial.
