Michael Vaughan responds after Wasim Jaffer hilariously trolls former England captain on Twitter

Former England captain Michael Vaughan garnered much attention on social media for his comments on Virat Kohli and Kane  Williamson. As per Vaughan, Williamson would have been the greatest player in the world if he was an Indian. Speaking to Spark Sport, Vaughan also said that people call Kohli the best to get more likes and few more clicks.

Both Kohli and Williamson are part of the fab four and the mainstays of their respective national teams. They lead their teams across all three formats in international cricket. “If Kane Williamson was Indian, he would be the greatest player in the world. But he’s not because you’re not allowed to say that Virat Kohli is not the greatest, because you’d get an absolute pelting on social media,” Vaughan told Spark Sport.

“So, you all say Virat is the best purely to get few more clicks and likes, few more numbers following here. Kane Williamson, across formats, is equally the best. I think the way he plays, the calm demeanour, his humbleness, the fact that he is silent about what he does.”

While the two premier batsmen haven’t responded to Vaughan’s comments, Wasim Jaffer reacted to it and came up with a hilarious response. “Extra ungli Hrithik ke paas hai par karta Michael Vaughan hai,” he wrote on Twitter.

The former India opener didn’t tag the former England captain in his post. But Vaughan saw it and reacted hilariously. “I presume you are agreeing with me Wasim !!” Vaughan responded.

Vaughan is quite vocal when it comes to commenting on the game and Indian cricket. Last year, he had predicted that Team India would lose to Australia across all three formats. India won the T20I and Test series.

The visitors made a miraculous comeback after a defeat in the opening Test and won the 2nd and 4th Test to clinch the series 2-1. India were without the services of number of senior players for the red-ball fixtures, including captain Kohli, who returned home after the opening Test match.
