David will now partner with Romario Shepherd, Jacob Bethell, Liam Livingstone, and Phil Salt, all of whom will be looking to assist RCB in getting their first-ever IPL title.

Nevertheless, the franchise is still worried about the fitness of pace bowlers Josh Hazlewood and Lungi Ngidi. Hazlewood is recuperating from a shoulder injury, whereas Ngidi’s inclusion in the playoffs is questionable since he belongs to South Africa’s team for the World Test Championship (WTC) final.

Hazlewood has been impressive in this season so far, collecting 18 wickets. Losing him might put serious pressure on RCB for gaining their initial IPL championship.
