Maruti Suzuki To Increase Car Prices By Rs 2,500 To Rs 62,000 From April 8

The customer will have to shell out more money to purchase a car from Maruti Suzuki after the company said that it would increase the prices from Rs 2500 to Rs 62000 on various models from April 8. 

Rising costs and operational expenses force price hike

The company said in a filing that the decision has been taken in the wake of the rising cost, operational expenses, and feature additions.

Consumers will witness a price hike in compact SUV Fronx by Rs 2,500, Dzire Tour S by Rs 3,000, and in the category of multi-purpose vehicles XL6 and Ertiga by Rs 12,500.

Prices of Compact Models Set to Rise as Well

The company has also planned to increase the car prices of compact models. Prices of Popular model Wagon R and Ecco Van may be hiked by Rs 14,000 and Rs 22,500 respectively.

Consumers to Face Significant Price Hike for Grand Vitara

Prices of Grand Vitara will be increased by massive Rs 62,000 which is a significant hike.

Maruti Suzuki achieves record sales

Maruti Suzuki achieved a total of 192,984 units sold, which includes 153,134 units in domestic sales, 6,882 units sold to other Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and 32,968 units in export, in March 2025.
The company surpassed the 2 million units sales milestone for the second consecutive year, reflecting strong consumer demand and a robust market presence.

For the financial year 2024-25, Maruti Suzuki reported its highest-ever total sales of 2,234,266 units, surpassing last year’s record.

This includes the highest-ever domestic sales of 1,795,259 units and the highest-ever exports of 332,585 units. The company’s ability to maintain strong sales performance both in the domestic market and internationally highlights its resilience and customer trust.
