In a significant operation , security forces successfully recovered a substantial cache of arms and narcotics in the Amrohi area of Tangdhar, located in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district. The joint operation, executed by the Army and local police, was launched following precise intelligence inputs regarding the presence of contraband in the region.

During the extensive search, the forces uncovered an impressive haul that included four pistols, six magazines, and approximately four kilograms of narcotics, alongside other war-like stores. The operation underscores the ongoing commitment of security personnel to combat illegal arms and drug trafficking in the region.

SSP Kupwara Ghulam Jeelani told reporters that the operation reinforces forces’ dedication to maintaining peace and security in Kashmir. He said forces remain steadfast in its commitment to keep Kashmir terror-free.

SSP said that this operation highlights the collaborative efforts of security forces in addressing threats posed by militancy and drug-related activities, which have been a growing concern in the region. The recovery not only disrupts potential criminal activities but also serves as a reminder of the ongoing challenges faced by law enforcement agencies in ensuring safety and stability in Kashmir.
