Major actor Adivi Sesh meets Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for special trailer screening in Delhi

Adivi Sesh’s upcoming film Major is based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the decorated NSG Commando who died while saving several lives during the 26/11 attacks. Helmed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, the film is being produced by Sony Pictures International Productions, G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment, A+S Movies and Sony Pictures Films India. Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar and Prakash Raj have pivotal roles.
As the film is set to release soon, the team recently held a meeting with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi and a special screening session of the trailer was organised.
Adivi Sesh and director Sashi Kiran Tikka met with the Defence minister on Sunday, May 1, wherein the team showed the trailer of the film and discussed the story of the national hero. Adivi Sesh portrays the titular role of Major Sandeep.
Taking to Twitter, Adivi Sesh shared a video of the interaction and wrote, “We showed the Honorable Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Ji The #MajorTrailer in Delhi. And he unveiled…Jaan Doonga Desh Nahi – जान दूँगा देश नहीं THE SLOGAN of #MAJOR #MajorSandeepUnnikrishnan A promise he made. A promise he kept. #MajorTrailer on May 9 #MajorTheFilm”
During the course of the interaction, the Defence Minister appreciated the team for their efforts. Rajnath Singh congratulated director Sashi Kiran Tikka and Adivi Sesh for presenting the story of a brave hero of India. The makers would soon be organising a special screening of the film for the Defence Minister and his family.
After talking about the movie, Rajnath Singh unveiled the slogan of the film, which is “Jaan Doonga Desh Nahi”. The words, in the tricoloured font, were printed against a pure white canvas. These words are the fundamental philosophy by which Major Sandeep lived.
The bilingual film was shot in both Hindi and Telugu and will release in Malayalam as well. The film offers an insight into Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s dedication, courage, sacrifices, love and spirit of life.
