Lahore Qalandars will clash with Islamabad United in match number 27 of the ongoing season of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 on Saturday (February 19). The match will start at 8:00 PM IST and will be live from the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
Lahore Qalandars have done well so far and are second on the points table. They have 6 points in their account. Lahore were handed a shock defeat in their previous match by Karachi Kings as they fell short by 22 runs while chasing a modest target of 150.
Karachi Kings were bowled out for 149 in just 19.5 overs and the Qalandars looked on course for an easy win. Qalandars looked unsettled from ball one. Mir Hamza was exceptional for Karachi. He finished his quota of 4 overs with the figures of 4/27. He also picked up the big wicket of Fakhar Zaman. Qalandars will look to regain touch and get back to winning ways from this match.
Meanwhile, Islamabad United also come into the match on the back of a 10-run loss to Peshawar Zalmi. Zalmi batted first and were able to put up a mammoth 206/8 in their alloted overs. Mohammad Haris top-scored with 70 off just 32 balls to lead Zalmi to a massive total.
Islamabad started off the run chase on a flying note with Rahmanullah Gurbaz providing the early fireworks in his innings of 46 off just 19 balls. Azam Khan kept Islamabad in the hunt with his valiant innings of 85 off just 45 balls but the Qalandars kept losing wickets at regular intervals and never really got going.
