KKK11’s Nikki Tamboli on doing first stunt after brother’s demise: ‘I was dying from inside’

Just two days before Nikki Tamboli was to leave for Khatron Ke Khiladi 11, the actress’ elder brother, unfortunately, passed away at the age of 29. He was suffering from health issues since the last few years. He was hospitalised for 20 days and was surviving on one lung. During hospitalisation, he got tuberculosis and even contracted the deadly coronavirus. On an unfateful day of May 4, he passed away after developing pneumonia.

Needless to say, Nikki was devastated to bits and so was her family. The passing away of her brother at such a young age came as a rude shock to the actress. It was indeed difficult for Nikki to leave for Khatron Ke Khiladi 11’s shoot at a time when she was greiving the loss of her brother, but she mustered courage and fulfilled her work commitment.

Recently, in an exclusive interview with Times Now Digital, Nikki Tamboli revealed how she had a lot of low moments on the stunt-based reality show. Elaborating on it, Nikki told us, “Every day, there was a low moment for me because 4th (May) my brother went and on the 13th we were shooting for our episodes. And on the 13th itself, I performed my first stunt. So obviously, it was worst for me because I was dying from inside. And I am not that mature that I can control everything.”

Having said that, the actress further mentioned, “Going abroad, leaving your family in that stage is very good, I think so, move. It is okay. Hona nahi hona, it is all about destiny also aur bohot saare dusre cheez bhi aate hai. But I enjoyed it. I am happy at the end of the day mujhe chain ki neend aati thi ki yaar thik hai, koi nahi, at least I came here, maine apni commitment jo thi, vo maine (fulfil) kia. So ya, I enjoyed it and that’s the best part, I think so.”

(Loosely translated to – I had a peaceful sleep, thinking that at least I fulfilled my commitment.)

Earlier this month, Nikki had penned a heartbreaking note remembering her sibling on his 2-month death anniversary. Her Instagram note for him read, “2 months today bhaiya I know you are happy now and no more in pain I feel good for you as you are in peace and not facing any trouble Whereas feel bad for myself for never accepting the fact you are gone.”
