Kiwi Cricketers Likely To Miss IPL 2025 , Reason Revealed

New Zealand Cricket has announced the schedule for the upcoming domestic season, highlighting a series of significant matches. The national team is slated to play limited-overs series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan, in addition to a Test series against England later this year. The three-match Test series against England will begin on November 28 in Christchurch.

As the new year unfolds, New Zealand will compete in a limited-overs series against Sri Lanka at the start of 2025. This will be followed by another series against Pakistan scheduled for mid-March. The timing of these series poses a potential conflict for several players, who might miss participating in the IPL, affecting both the auction and team strategies.

In light of these commitments, IPL teams will need to adjust their planning to accommodate the absence of key New Zealand players. It is also notable that several prominent New Zealand stars have already opted out of central contracts, which could influence team compositions and player availability for various tournaments.
