Kiki Hakansson, the first-ever Miss World, passed away on November 4 at the age of 95. The news of her demise was confirmed by her son Chris Andersen, who shared the heartwarming news with the Miss World organisation. Hakansson Hakansson died in her sleep and her son revealed that she was well taken care of. In 1951, Kiki Hakansson made history by becoming the first ever Miss World.

Julia Morley, Chairman and CEO of the Miss World Organization, expressed her condolences to Kiki Hakansson’s family in her official statement. She said, “We extend our deepest sympathies to all Kiki’s family, sending our love and offering our prayers at this difficult time”.

She added, “Kiki was a true pioneer and it was therefore fitting that Kiki would have her place in history in becoming the first “Miss World.” We will continue through eternity to celebrate the memory of the first ever Miss World, Kerstin (Kiki) Håkansson, who is forever in our hearts”.
