Nitesh Tiwari’s highly anticipated film Ramayana is currently being filmed in India, with Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in lead roles. Adding to the excitement, KGF star Yash has now started shooting for his role as Ravana.

According to reports, Yash arrived in Mumbai and began filming his scenes for Ramayana – Part 1 on 21st February, following two days of costume trials. His portions primarily focus on grand war sequences, which are being shot at Aksa Beach in Mumbai. The production will later move to a studio in Dahisar for further filming.

Epic Battle Scenes With High-End VFX

A source told Mid-Day that the war sequences are designed to showcase Ravana’s strategic brilliance. The action choreography blends green screen effects with live-action footage and involves extensive visual effects. These particular scenes do not require Ranbir Kapoor’s presence, as they are not part of the Ram-Ravana face-off. Other key actors have joined Yash for this phase of the shoot.

Besides Ramayana, Yash is also working on his next pan-India film, Toxic. Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Ravi Dubey have almost wrapped up their parts for Ramayana.

About Ramayana

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana will be released in two parts. The first part is set to hit cinemas on Diwali 2026, followed by the second installment on Diwali 2027. The film also features Lara Dutta, Sunny Deol, and Indira Krishna in pivotal roles.
