Apart from ruling the silver screen for decades, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has also established himself as a successful game show host. The veteran actor is back with the 13th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati and every night the viewers get glued to their TV screens to watch KBC 13. Tonight was the show’s special episode, Shaandaar Shukrawar and actress Hema Malini sat on the hot seat with filmmaker Ramesh Sippy.
During the episode, not just Big B but Hema and Ramesh, too, shared many amusing anecdotes. The trio went on to talk about their blockbuster hit Sholay and how they can’t believe that it has been 46 years since the film was made.
Further, Hema went on to share that the shoot of the film was going to begin on October 2. To this, Ramesh added that because it rained so heavily on that day, they had to reschedule and the next day as well, they could only shoot one scene featuring Big B and Jaya Bachhan.
After listening to this, Big B shared that his wife Jaya was pregnant with their daughter, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, at that time. The actor further shared that he tells Shweta that she has also worked in Sholay because of this.
During their candid conversation, Big B also went on to share that while they were shooting for Sholay, Dharmendra often used to sleep on the sets when it used to get late. The veteran actor also said that he and Dharmendra used to travel in the same car back and forth to the sets.
Sharing another amusing incident, Big B revealed that once his and Dharmendra’s car broke down in a very crowded area and got surrounded by 3,000-4,000 people. The two actors had to take an auto to reach their destination.
Apart from these, the trio went on to share many other interesting stories, recalling their time together. Big B even tagged the episode as Sholay reunion.
Meanwhile, in the current season of KBC, the audience poll lifeline has been introduced again. In the last season, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, this lifeline was rolled back. Apart from this, the contestants also get three more lifelines – ask the expert, flip the question and 50-50.
