Rohit Shetty’s copverse never fails the cine buffs! Right from Ajay Devgn’s Singham to Simmba to now Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif-starrer Sooryavanshi, the director’s cop dramas are action and entertainment-packed. The lead actors display impeccable acting skills and never disappoint with their righteous personalities. However, we have to say, the copverse lacks a strong female figure and Shetty should definitely consider making a film of the kind with a female lead. 

Having said that, did you know Katrina actually pitched to Shetty that he should direct a cop drama with a female lead? Not just that, she even asked the director to cast her in the titular role. Yes, you are hearing this right. Katrina, on The Kapil Sharma Show, opened up about having this conversation with Shetty. The actress shared that the copverse needs a strong female figure and she wants to step up for the role. 

She, however, revealed that Shetty turned down her offer stating that since she has already starred in Sooryavanshi, she cannot be a part of the female cop drama.

While Katrina was narrating this incident, Kapil pitched that Katrina can give divorce to Sooryavanshi in reel-life and then star in a movie of her own. This idea appealed to Kat who turned to Archana Puran Singh and asked her what the cop drama, starring her, should be titled. She also told the veteran actress that the title should start from S as all of Shetty’s films start from that letter. 

Archana being Archana quickly replied that the movie should be titled “Sweetie” (yes you can laugh). As soon as Archana said this, Kapil Sharma and Akshay Kumar started to laugh out loud. Not just them, even the audience was left in splits.

Katrina and Akshay were seen on The Kapil Sharma Show tonight (November 07) to promote their recently released film Sooryavanshi. The movie hit the theatres on November 05 and has done well at the box office. On the comedy show, Kat and Akshay were seen grooving and moving to the now-popular song from the film, Tip Tip.
