Jr NTR is officially stepping into Bollywood, and he’s doing it with a bang! The RRR superstar will be seen in War 2, joining Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani in the much awaited sequel of the YRF Spy Universe. But War 2 is just the beginning for the Telugu star.
According to a report by ETimes, Aditya Chopra is planning big for Jr NTR. His character in the film isn’t a one time appearance, it marks the start of a multi film journey for the actor in the spy franchise. “His character won’t just be limited to War 2. Expect standalone films, spin-offs, and major crossover appearances,”said a source close to the development.
This means Jr NTR will now be a part of YRF Spy Universe, joining names like Kabir (Hrithik Roshan), Pathaan (Shah Rukh Khan), Tiger (Salman Khan), Zoya (Katrina Kaif), and Rubaii (Deepika Padukone).
On the other hand, Hrithik Roshan recently created hype among the audience with his new post for co-star Jr NTR and netizens believe that the makers may unveil the teaser of War 2 on May 20 or it could be a casting announcement. For the unversed, May 20th is also Jr NTR’s birthday. Hrithik in a tweet, teased his co-star, and said:
“Hey @jrntr, think you know what to expect on the 20th of May? Trust me, you have NO idea what’s in store. Ready? #War2.”
Meanwhile on the work front, Jr. NTR is currently shooting for his upcoming film with director Prashanth Neel and will later move on to Nelson Dilipkumar’s project. The actor is also gearing up for the release of War 2, a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War, directed by Ayan Mukerji which is expected to hit theaters on Independence Day 2025.
