John Abraham Slams Actors Demanding Massive Fees Amid Industry Struggles – Here’s What He Said!

Bollywood’s renowned actor John Abraham has voiced substantial financial worries and believes that overpaid performers have created severe damage to Hindi cinema industry. Based on more than twenty years of experience in the industry Abraham has recognized inflated lead actor compensation as one of two main issues that affect film content quality.

The Hollywood Reporter interviewed Abraham who said that actors should receive payment for their work since the high budget amounts remain unjustified. Actor entourage expenses that exceed common sense boundaries receive his harsh criticism as he wonders if actors or their representatives lead this spendthrift trend. He said “I understand you are put in a bubble, but you can’t be so daft. You need to see the real world. If people are blowing sunshine from your backside, you need to wake up and smell the coffee. As an industry, we are really suffering.”

He added “You need to understand, comprehend, take it into confidence. I believe I’m worth this much, but yes, if you’re saying I’m not, I get it. We don’t have that thought yet,” he explained. “We always compare ourselves with other actors. We always want to broadcast our fee, which I think is the worst thing to do,”.

According to Abraham, producers who continue to pay excessive amounts should focus on film production instead of proposal-making. Content excellence matters more than actor credentials according to him because he stated that “Today no actor can get you any opening.” A movie succeeds by first having good content followed by actor selection to match those dynamics.

He emphasized how South Indian film productions Pushpa, KGF and RRR gained significant achievements by delivering new narratives which brought in major audience engagement.

Meanwhile Abraham is getting ready to perform in The Diplomat as Indian diplomat JP Singh in an upcoming action thriller and also hinted towards Pathaan Prequel.
