J&K: Protest March Held In Budgam Against Hezbollah Leader Hassan Nasrallah’s Killing

Following the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, protests have erupted in several parts of Jammu and Kashmir. People took to the streets to express their distress of Nasrallah’s killing.

They gathered in large number in various districts like Srinagar, Budgam to condemn the killing of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah by the Israel Defense Force (IDF).

Israel Defense Forces had yesterday declared “Hassan Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorize the world.”

A protest march in Budgam of Jammu and Kashmir saw participation of people in large number. Men and children were spotted with big Palestine flag. They raised slogans of Hezbollah along with “jab tak suraj chand rahega, Hezbollah tera naam rahega.” They also carried portraits of Hassan Nasrallah.

Reportedly, protests broke out in Jammu & Kashmir on Saturday also and witnessed the participation of women, children and youth in Srinagar.

How Did J&K Leaders React To Nasrallah’s Killing

Several Jammu and Kashmir leaders have mourned the death of Hassan Nasrallah. Anjuman Sharie Shian President Aga Syed Hassan had led protest March over Nasrallah’s killing in Budgam on Saturday. According to reports, the protest emphasized the community’s call for peace and highlighted concerns over escalating violence in the region. Participants sought to raise awareness and promote dialogue in response to the ongoing conflict.

Speaking to ANI, Aga Syed Hassan said, “No matter how much we mourn his (Hassan Nasrallah) death, it will always be lesser. There should be peace and that was his mission. He was alleged to be involved in terrorism so that the people wouldn’t get to know what he was doing for humanity and what he wanted. He wanted Palestine to be free for the people of Palestine. I wanted to say to the entire humanity and Islamic people, that this will bring something extraordinary for which he has sacrificed his life.”

Similarly, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti announced that she is cancelling her political campaign scheduled for 29 September in view of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah’s death. She has expressed grief over his death and also expressed solidarity with people of Palestine and Lebanon.
