Jio Hotstar: How Will It Change The Experience Of The Users? Pricing And Other Details Inside

JioStar, a newly formed joint venture of Viacom18 and Star India, has launched Jio Hotstar, a cutting-edge streaming platform that brings the extensive content of JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar together.

Kiran Mani, JioHotstar CEO, said that the platform’s mission is to make high-quality entertainment accessible to every Indian. This offers content in 10 languages, catering to a massive audience of over 1.4 billion Indians, JioHotstar provides a one-stop solution within a single app, where users can enjoy their favorite TV shows, movies, and live sports altogether.

The users using Disney+ Hotstar will automatically upgrade to the new platform. JioHotstar has announced that existing subscribers of JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar will be able to seamlessly migrate to the new platform. Moreover, its original content, Jio Hotstar will uniquely offer an aggregated content library featuring popular titles from major studios like NBCUniversal Peacock, Warner Bros, Discovery, HBO, and Paramount, setting it apart from other streaming services.

Furthermore, you will also be able to watch premier cricket tournaments like IPL, WPL and ICC events along with Premier League, Wimbledon and domestic leagues like Pro Kabaddi and ISL on this platform.

Jio Hotstar: Pricing And Offering

JioHotstar’s pricing plans will begin at an affordable Rs 149 for a three-month mobile subscription.
