Jigra Box Office Collection Day 4: Alia Bhatt-Starrer Fails To Bring Audience To Theatres

‘Jigra’, starring Alia Bhatt, was one of the most awaited Bollywood movies of 2024. Despite the hype, the movie is not able to perform well at the box office and did not match its expectations. ‘Jigra’ also clashed with Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri-starrer ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ in theatres.

Jigra Box Office Collection Day 4:

According to the website Sacnilk, ‘Jigra’ collected Rs 1.50 crore only on day 4, which is a huge decline in its numbers. The movie has collected Rs 18.10 crore in total.

‘Jigra’ has also been involved in some controversies. The movie raised eyebrows before its release due to its similarity with Divya Khossla’s ‘Savi.’ Divya has now called out Alia and the makers of ‘Jigra’ for allegedly buying their film’s tickets and showing fake collections. She also posted a picture of an empty theatre. Sharing the picture of an empty theatre on her Instagram story, Divya wrote, “Went to Citi Mall PVR for Jigra show. Theatre was totally empty … all theaters going empty every where. #Aliabhatt me sach mein Bahut #Jigra hai.. khud hi tickets karide aur fake collections announce kar diye. Wonder why paid media is silent. #weshdnotfooltheaudience #truthoverlies #HappyDussehra Х (sic).”

Earlier, Karan Johar was trolled for allegedly giving ‘Jigra’ to Alia Bhatt without consulting director Vasan Bala. Clarifying the rumours, Karan wrote on Instagram, The gore misinterpretation of his comment about me sending the script to Alia without his grammar checks made me laugh initially at the ludicrousness of it all but now is truly annoying me … Vasan continues to be one of my most talented and wonderful collaborators and if you see his interview and hear his tone you will totally get it!”

“BUT NO … much ado about nothing is all over the place…I fold my hands and tell everyone please hear and read entire interviews before making clickbait assumptions! Loads of Love to all of you …,” Karan concluded.

‘Jigra’ also stars Vedang Raina in the lead role. The movie was released in theatres on October 11, 2024.
