Rain saved Team India on Day 3 of IND vs AUS 3rd Test after Australia pulled off a first innings score of 445 runs. Australian batters Travis Head and Steve Smith ended up scoring hundreds for the hosts. Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has proved out to be the lone warrior for the Indian team with the ball in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Bumrah picked up his second five-wicket haul of the series and has picked up 18 wickets in the series as of now. Apart from the performance from the ace Indian pacer, the Indian batting lineup hasn’t been able to perform in the series as of now.

Jasprit Bumrah Gives Cheeky Answer After Being Asked About Batting Skills

Jasprit Bumrah got engaged in a light-hearted banter with a journalist after the end IND vs AUS 3rd Test Day 3. A journalist questioned Bumrah about his batting abilities and was asked about his thoughts on the Indian team’s batting performance during first innings of IND vs AUS 3rd Test. While, Bumrah being a bowler might not be the right person to answer the question, but the latter gave a cheeky reply and stated that he holds the record of smashing the most runs in a single over during a Test match.

Jasprit Bumrah was asked, “Hi, Jasprit. What is your assessment of the batting, although you are not the best person to answer the question, but what do you think about the situation of the team, considering the conditions in Gabba?, to which the ace Indian pacer answered, “It’s an interesting question. But, you are questioning my batting ability. You should use Google and see who has got the most number of runs in a Test over. But, jokes apart. That’s another story.”

The Indian team being four down needs a strong batting effort by the other batters. KL Rahul has looked steady in the innings as of now and will need support from other players including Rohit Sharma, Nitish Kumar Reddy and others.
