Having been in the industry for several years now, actor Adivi Sesh has carved a niche for himself. The actor, who turns a year older today, plans to celebrate his birthday with his family members. “In so many years, I have never had the chance to celebrate my birthday with my parents because they were in the States and I was here and then there was pandemic. So I am going to celebrate with my mom and dad, it’s kind of special,” he said in an exclusive interview with Times Now Digital. 

His birthday might be today, but the actor got a birthday gift on Thursday itself when the teaser of his upcoming film Major hit the big screens with Spider-Man: No Way Home. “I am smiling a little bit today. The teaser of Major has gone out with Spider-Man… I started getting a bunch of messages in the morning, it’s nice to get that from places like Odisha and Kolkata,” he shared. 

Stepping in the shoes of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan for Sashi Kiran Tikka’s Major, the actor said he is not nervous about the film so to say, but a little nervous about doing justice to the part of the 2008 Mumbai attacks martyr. “This is a war hero’s life, someone I really respect and admire and I am a fan of… to do justice to his life on screen, that’s my most important goal,” he said. 

Even before the release of his bilingual film (Telugu and Hindi), Sesh has come on board two other pan-India films. The actor, who turns 36 today, has also been in the news for rumours related to his personal space. Reacting to such rumours, the actor said, “I think these rumours only happen if the public is interested in you. So you know I am the one who said I want you guys to watch me, so I am thankful people are interested,” he said, adding, “As far as the rumours go, not much of it is true. I might sound cliched, but I am married to my work at the moment.” When asked about wedding rumours, the actor said, “No, not even close…”

On the film front, the actor wishes to have the flexibility, credibility and the freedom to be able to tell stories on both large and small scale in the same year. “I want the flexibility to do the biggest of films and the smallest of films in the same year,” he said when asked about the kind of filmmakers and films he wishes to be a part of.
