Superstar Rajinikanth is all set to return with Jailer 2, the much-anticipated sequel to the blockbuster hit Jailer. According to industry sources, the shooting is likely to begin next week in Chennai, with later schedules planned in Goa and Theni in Tamil Nadu.

As per the rumours, Kannada superstar Dr Shiva Rajkumar and Malayalam known face Mohanlal might also be the part of the cast. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding their involvement yet from the team.

As the first part of Jailer has collected around Rs. 650 crores worldwide, fans have very high expectations from the sequel. The excitement around the film further increased when Sun Pictures released an official announcement teaser, with a touch of thrill and humour.

The teaser starts with a radio announcement about an approaching cyclone, while music director Anirudh and director Nelson engage in a humorous conversation in Goa. As they discuss ideas for their next film, the scene turns chaotic and action-packed, with random characters entering the room and getting attacked.

The teaser ends with grand entry of Rajinikanth , taking down villains in his classic style. Music composer Anirudh, amazed by the sequence, tells Nelson: “This looks fearsome, Nelsa! Let’s make this into a film!”
