Joseph Quinn became a sensation worldwide after he appeared in Stranger Things Season 4. He played the role of Eddie Munson, who died towards the end, which led to fans mourning a beloved character. As the hype around ‘Stranger Things Season 5’ is at its peak, the viewers have been wondering if Eddie will return to the series or not.

While speaking to Empire, Matt Duffer dismissed the rumours of Joseph Quinn aka Eddie returning to the finale. He said, “I love that Joe Quinn is toying with people! But no, he’s dead. Joe is so busy anyway, that everyone should know he’s not coming back. He’s shot like five movies since! When the hell has he got time to come and shoot Stranger Things? No, sadly, RIP. He’s fully under that ground.”

The show has been grabbing attention for another reason. Linda Hamilton, best known for her role in ‘The Terminator’ series as Sarah Connor, has joined Stranger Things Season 5. Not much has been revealed about her character, but it is confirmed that she will bring new dynamics to the show. Matt Duffer told Empire that Linda Hamilton will play the role of Dr Kay, who is a government agent and wants to hunt down Eleven. He said, “She’s hyper-intelligent and intimidating.”

“She’s a scientist but if she needs to, she can get into a fight and shoot a gun,” the director added.

The final season also stars Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Sadie Sink, Jamie Bowler, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Cara Buono, and Amybeth McNulty.

Talking about the plot of Stranger Things Season 5, the series will have an 18-month time jump from the fourth season.
