Nitish Kumar Reddy, a 22-year-old all-rounder, has long been a key part of Sunrisers Hyderabad. Addressing widespread rumours about his potential exit, he has firmly dismissed all speculation, confirming his commitment to the franchise.

Reddy posted on X and wrote “I tend to stay away from the noise, but some things deserve clarity. My connection with SRH is built on trust, respect, and years of shared passion. I’ll always stand by this team.”

The 2024 season with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) was a turning point for Nitish Reddy, he was picked in India’s T20I squad against Bangladesh then for Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia. In 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) he couldn’t leave much impact as he managed to score just 182 runs with an average of 22.75 and a strike rate of 118.95. Overall in his IPL career, Nitish Kumar Reddy has played 28 matches in which he has scored 485 runs which includes two half-centuries with an average of 28.52 and strike rate of 132.87.

Recently he was seen playing in the five-match Test series against England but he was ruled out after the third Test due to the knee injury he suffered. In the two Tests he played, Reddy scored 45 runs and took three wickets but after he got injured he was replaced by all-rounder Shardul Thakur. The injury setback will continue for long as he is likely to miss the upcoming Duleep Trophy.
