England opening batter Jos Buttler continued his dream form with the bat in the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL) by scoring his second century of the season. The English opening batter reached the milestone at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in just 60 balls.
By virtue of his feat, Buttler is only the sixth batter in the history of the IPL to score multiple centuries in the same season. The explosive RR batter joined Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, Hashim Amla, Shane Watson, and Shikhar Dhawan in the unique list.

Buttler’s first century of the season had come against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the DY Patil Stadium earlier this month. Having made his first century in his last appearance in IPL 2021 before the tournament was suspended, Buttler now has three centuries in his last 7 IPL innings in the cash-rich league. The Englishman had missed the second-leg of IPL 2021 in the UAE.
