In response to the recent terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, security forces have initiated extensive search operations across several districts in South Kashmir, including Pulwama, Shopian, Kulgam, and Anantnag. These operations are part of a comprehensive counter-terrorism strategy aimed at dismantling terrorist networks and their support systems in the Valley.

Joint teams comprising the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s SOG, Army, paramilitary forces, and various security agencies have been mobilised to conduct coordinated searches. The focus is primarily on residences and premises of individuals suspected of having affiliations with terrorist outfits and separatist organisations. Authorities are ensuring that these operations are carried out with the utmost professionalism to minimise disruption to the local population.

The ongoing search efforts are a continuation of sustained measures aimed at curbing terrorist activities and maintaining peace and security in Kashmir Valley. Local police have called upon the public to cooperate with security forces and provide any information that could assist in upholding law and order.
