The year 2024 has given new hights to India in different sectors. It have given a boost to nation in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, defence, space, AI and other things.

The country has adapted Artificial Intelligence, and other technology related things. The year 2024 is for the scientist too. In 2024, the ISRO has given various successful launches to the nation.

India witnessed growth in pharmaceutical export from 15 billion US dollar to 28 billion US dollar in FY24. Not only this, but the Biotechnology has also seen growth in 2024. It saw a 13 fold jump from USD 10 billion in 2014 to USD 130 billion in 2024. It aims to achieve the target of USD 300 billion by 2030.

In the year 2024, the country achieved a significant breakthrough, this include the development of Nafithromycin. Nafithromycin is the nations first antibiotic to tackle pneumonia and NexCAR 19. NexCAR 19 is the country’s first home-grown treatment for cancer.

After recommencing the Penicillin G manufacturing after three decades supported the self-reliance of pharmaceutical in India. At the world level India joined the Biopharmaceutical Alliance with the US, Japan, European Union and South Korea. This was done to tackle the drug supply challenges. Major reforms like Liberalized FDI, initiating defence R&D to the start-ups and the positive indigenization list pushed the production to witness Rs 1.27 lakh crore. The exports saw a rise by 30 folds.

The milestones includes the Agni-5 missile flight test, having MIRV technology. Not only this but the testing of K4 submarine launched missile and the Phase 2 of Ballistic missile Defence system comes under it.

The long range LRLACM missile puts the precision capabilities of India in front. Also, the nuclear power capacity of India got doubled from 4,780 MW in 2014 to 8,180 MW in the year 2024. Additionally, the aim is to make it triple to 22,480 MW by 2031-32.

The Union budget of 2024-25 shows the instalment of Bharat Small Reactors and partnership with Small Module Reactors. This strengthens the nuclear aspiration of India. The goal of the Indian Space sector is to take the economy of space to USD 44 billion by 2023.

Major achievements under this comes the approval for the Venus Orbitor Mission and the Chandrayaan 4, the declaration of first team of Gaganyaan astronauts and Agniul Cosmos.

The year saw India laying second spaceport in Tamil Nadu. Not only this but the country celebrated its first National Space Day. Apart from this the nation made history with Chandrayaan 3 lunar landing.

In the year 2024, the country did its Hyperloop test track at Madras, Chennai. With the rise technology, India made its position as the Global Leader in 2024.
