The Henley Passport Index 2025 ranking of the world’s most powerful passports for the first six months of 2025 has been released. This ranking has been published by the renowned organization Henley & Partners. The index ranks passports based on how many countries their holders can visit without needing a visa.

According to the Henley Passport Index, Singapore has the world’s most powerful passport. People holding a Singaporean passport can travel to 195 countries without needing a visa. Now, let’s look at the rankings for India and Pakistan.

Japan Has The Second Most Powerful Passport

After Singapore, Japan has the second most powerful passport in the world. With a Japanese passport, people can travel visa-free to 193 countries. Following Japan, South Korea, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Finland are in joint third place. People holding passports from these countries can visit 192 countries without needing a visa.

Countries like Austria, Ireland, Denmark, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden, and the Netherlands have the fourth most powerful passports. These passports allow visa-free entry to 191 countries. In the fifth position, countries such as New Zealand, Portugal, Switzerland, the UK, and Belgium hold passports that provide visa-free access to 190 countries.

Pakistan Has One Of The Weakest Passports

In the list of the world’s most powerful passports, Pakistan’s passport ranks very poorly. Once again, Pakistan has one of the weakest passports, ranking 103rd. Pakistani passport holders can travel visa-free to only 33 countries. Other countries, like Somalia, Palestine, Nepal, and Bangladesh, have passports ranked higher than Pakistan. Somalia’s passport is ranked 102nd.

India’s Passport Is Much Stronger Than Pakistan’s

India’s passport ranking is much better compared to Pakistan’s. India ranks 85th in the global passport ranking, which is significantly ahead of Pakistan. With an Indian passport, people can travel to 57 countries without needing a visa. However, India has dropped 5 positions compared to last year.
