India has taken an unassailable lead by winning the first two matches of the three-match ODI series against England. Now the third and last match of this series will be played on Wednesday (12 February) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In this match, Team India will be eyeing a 3-0 clean sweep, while England will be looking for its first win. Before the third match, an awareness initiative called ‘Donate Organs, Save Life’ will be started in the stadium. The players of the Indian team have made a special appeal regarding this.

International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman Jay Shah on Wednesday announced the launch of an awareness initiative called ‘Donate Organs, Save Lives’ during the third ODI match between India and England. Jay Shah announced this on the social media platform X and promoted the organ donation program for the needy.

Jay Shah wrote in his X post, “On the occasion of the 3rd ODI between India and England in Ahmedabad on 12th February, we are proud to launch an awareness initiative- ‘Donate Organs, Save Lives’. Sports has the power to inspire, unite and create a lasting impact beyond the field.

Through this initiative, we urge everyone to take a step towards giving the greatest gift- the gift of life. One pledge, one decision, can save many lives. Let’s come together and make a difference!”

After Jay Shah’s x-post, BCCI also posted a video on social media, in which the players of the Indian team are seen appealing for this awareness initiative. In the video, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Axar Patel, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Arshdeep Singh, Washington Sundar, Varun Chakaravarthy and Rishabh Pant are appealing to spread awareness.
