After closing the series against England last night In Pune, the Indian cricket team has continued to dominate T20I cricket, particularly on home soil, with a remarkable record of winning 24 out of 26 T20Is in 2024. However, their last home series defeat in the format came against Australia in February 2019, when they lost 2-0 in a two-match contest. The opening game in Visakhapatnam saw India managing a modest total of 126 batting first. Australia, led by Glenn Maxwell’s vital knock of 56 runs, clinched a thrilling last-ball victory by three wickets.

India Vs England T20 Series

A one-sided encounter in Kolkata, Tilak Verma’s heroics in Chennai, a good all-round bowling performance from England to defend 171 in Rajkot and a see-saw contest in Pune. There’ll be plenty of discussions around the concussion substitute as Harshit Rana replaced Dube and bowled four overs to finish with 3/33. Maybe that wasn’t like-for-like but the match referee allowed it. That’s it from this encounter. The teams will move to Mumbai next

The final match of the series will be played in the prestigious Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on 2nd February. The match will be live-streamed at Hotstar.
