The three-match ODI series between India and Sri Lanka has begun, with the first match look place on August 2 in Colombo. The game ended in a tie. India was expected to win, but a small mistake at the end cost them the victory.

At the end of the match, India needed one run from 14 balls to win but had no wickets left. Arshdeep Singh and Mohammad Siraj were at the crease. Fans hoped Arshdeep would secure the win with a single, but he made a mistake that angered fans, leading to a backlash on social media.

When India needed just one run from 14 balls, Arshdeep Singh came in to bat as the last wicket. However, he got out Leg Before Wicket (LBW) right away after trying to play a shot with his leg lifted.

Fans think Arshdeep’s mistake cost Team India the win, leading to a tie in the match. Now, they are posting about Arshdeep on social media.

A user posted questioning Arshdeep Singh’s cricketing sense. With just 1 run needed from 14 balls and only 1 wicket left, why did he try to hit a six? Was it bold cricket or a major error?

In this match, Sri Lanka batted first and scored 230 runs. Team India needed 231 runs to win but got all out for 230 runs, with 13 balls still left.
