Mehidy Hasan Miraz grabbed the first wicket of the day by getting KL Rahul back for 16 runs. Rahul tried a lofted shot, and Zakir Hasan was quick to react, diving to his right to come up with a fine low catch. That would make it the sixth India wicket lost, and things get seriously placed in trouble for them.

IND Vs BAN, 1st Test

Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have added a solid partnership as India’s score was at 176/6 at Tea on the first day of the first Test against Bangladesh in Chennai. Both are cautiously creeping along to advance India’s innings. The team has lost six wickets, where one of the notable ones is Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has scored 56 runs. Meanwhile, the Bangladeshi bowlers are keen to claim more wickets and see India go out of the game quickly. Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and decided to bowl first on Thursday in the opener of this two-match series.
