IGI Airport Delhi has experienced a serious accident. At Terminal 3, there has been a significant fire in the bus. Luckily, there were no passengers on the bus when the accident occurred. The bus was parked close to an aircraft on Tuesday afternoon when the accident occurred.

Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited was the operator of the bus. Many airlines rely on this third-party operator for their ground service. The cause of the fire and whether or not anyone has been hurt are unknown.

The IGI Airport police station received a report of an Air India bus fire at approximately one in the afternoon. The fire department and other relevant agencies, such as the local police and CISF, responded to the event as soon as they received the information. The Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL), which oversees operations at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), described it as a “stray incident” with no injuries.

The information that has been gathered so far indicates that the bus was not carrying any passengers or luggage at the time. At the time of the occurrence, just the driver was inside the bus. The fire has been brought under control, which is a great news. In the occurrence, no such injuries were reported. The bus will be investigated to determine what caused the fire.

Delhi Airport can handle more than 100 million passengers annually thanks to its four runways and three terminals. Terminal 3, one of the biggest terminals in the world, opened its doors in 2010 and can accommodate up to 40 million passengers a year. With the lower tier serving as the arrivals area and the upper tier serving as the departure area, it operates both domestic and international flights.
