‘If India Stops Water Supply…’: Pakistan’s DG ISPR Issues WARNING Echoing Terrorist Hafiz Saeed’s Language

Pakistan Army’s Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG-ISPR), Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has issued a veiled threat to India over Indus Water Treaty. His words echo the inflammatory language previously used by terrorist and mastermind of the Mumbai attacks, Hafiz Saeed. While addressing students at Pakistan University, Chaudhry stated that if India stops water supply, Pakistan would choke their breath. It is a pity and unfortunate that top Army officers of Pakistan are also using rhetoric similar to terrorists. Well, it’s not just the Army, politicians like Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also make hostile statements that resembles the language of terrorists.

What Did Chaudhry Say?

Chaudhry’s statement pertains to India’s abeyance of the Indus Waters Treaty. His exact words are: “Agar Bharat Pani Band Kar Dega Toh Hum Bhartiyo Ki Sans Band Kardenge.” This statement reflects the filth in his mind and exposes the policy of his country that supports terrorism. Through his statement, he indirectly hinted at Pakistan’s unprovoked aggression and their intention to wipe off Indians. However, Chaudhary should realize that Pakistan has never been capable of doing half of the things it says.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday during a public rally warned Pakistan over the Indus Waters Treaty. He stated that India will not give its rightful share of water to Pakistan, suggesting the suspension of the treaty will still be intact. Earlier, PM Modi in his first address to the nation after operation Sindoor had declared that talk with Pakistan won’t progress on IWT.  He said “Blood and water cannot flow together; talk and terror cannot go together,” signalling a tougher stance on Pakistan’s support for cross-border terrorism.

He added that if Pakistan continues to support terrorism and export terrorists, one day they will have to wrestle and beg for every single penny. He also warned Pakistan that they would bear the cost of attacking and killing Indians.

“Pakistan will not get a single drop of water that belongs to India. Playing with the blood of Indians will cost Pakistan dearly. This is India’s resolve, and no one in the world can deter us from this commitment,” PM Modi stated.
