Pushpa star Allu Arjun was released from Chanchalguda Central Jail on Saturday morning after spending a night in judicial custody. The actor had been sent to 14-day custody by a local court in connection with a tragic stampede at Sandhya Theatre during the premiere of his latest film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. The Telangana High Court granted him interim bail on a personal bond of ₹50,000.

Allu Arjun Speaks Out!

Speaking to the media gathered outside his residence, Allu Arjun expressed sorrow over the loss of a 35-year-old woman during the stampede, describing the incident as “purely accidental and unintentional.” He extended his deepest condolences to the victim’s family and vowed to support them in any way possible. “I am a law-abiding citizen and will cooperate fully with the authorities. My heart goes out to the bereaved family,” he said.

The stampede occurred as thousands of fans gathered outside Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad to catch a glimpse of the actor during the movie’s premiere. Allu Arjun, who was inside the theatre with his family, clarified that he had no direct involvement in the incident. “I’ve been visiting this spot for over 20 years, and such a tragedy has never occurred before. I should reserve my comments because I don’t want to say anything that will tamper the case…” he stated.

The actor’s release was celebrated by his fans, family, and colleagues. His father, Allu Aravind, expressed gratitude to the media for their support during the challenging time. “The media across India stood by me during this crisis, and we are grateful for their extraordinary support,” he said.

Several Tollywood celebrities, including Vijay Deverakonda, Rana Daggubati, and producer Dil Raju, visited Allu Arjun’s residence to show their solidarity. Pushpa 2: The Rule director Sukumar also expressed his support for the actor.

Political leaders such as Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader KTR condemned the actor’s arrest, calling it unjust. Stars like Rashmika Mandanna, Varun Dhawan, and Nani also expressed their solidarity with Allu Arjun, showcasing a wave of support from the industry and beyond.
