I am quite offended: Sania Mirza reacts after Yuvraj Singh shares sweet video to celebrate Friendship Day

Legendary Indian cricketer and Indian Premier League (IPL) icon Yuvraj Singh shared a sweet video to celebrate International Friendship Day on Sunday. One of the most decorated cricketers in the history of the gentlemen’s game, Yuvraj opted to pay an emotional tribute to his colleagues and associates by sharing a compilation of the sweet memories the cricket icon created with his life-long friends on the special day. Yuvraj’s special tribute also prompted a noteworthy response from tennis icon Sania Mirza.

“To a lifetime of friendship #HappyFriendshipDay,” Yuvraj captioned his post that featured veteran cricketers including the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, and Harbhajan Singh. Taking cognisance of the post shared by Yuvraj, tennis superstar Sania revealed that she was ‘quite offended’ by the special Friendship Day video shared by the two-time World Cup winner. “Cute but I am quite offended not to be in this video motu #justsaying,” Sania left a reply on the post.

Interestingly, Sania was not the only one who was apparently left unimpressed on social media. Though Yuvraj gave special mention to several star players of the Indian cricket team, fans and followers were unable to spot MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli in the friendship day tribute shared by the former all-rounder on the Facebook-owned platform. Here’s how Team India fans reacted to Yuvraj’s friendship day post on the photo and video sharing platform

Yuvraj shared the Indian lockerroom with former Team India skipper Dhoni and current captain Kohli for several years. Yuvraj used to spearhead India’s batting order with Kohli and Dhoni during his iconic international career. The 2007 and 2011 World Cup winner with Dhoni-led Team India played 40 Tests, 304 One Day Internationals (ODI), and 58 T20Is for the Asian giants. The legendary all-rounder announced his retirement from international cricket in 2019.
