Kasautii Zindagii Kay actress Shweta Tiwari was married to actor Raja Chaudhary from 1998 to 2007. In their marriage, Shweta reportedly suffered a lot. The actress had apparently levelled serious allegations of domestic abuse against Raja. After being in a troubled marriage with him for years, the actress got a divorce from him at the of 27. Shweta has a grown-up daughter Palak Tiwari from her first marriage.
After parting ways with Raja, the actress got married to actor Abhinav Kohli in 2013. Within three of marrying him, Shweta was blessed with a son – Reyansh. However, their marriage did not last for a long time. In 2019, media reports stated that the actress filed a complaint against Abhinav for domestic violence. As per reports, the actress was facing issues in her marriage for a long time but things escalated when Abhinav reportedly slapped his step-daughter Palak.
Cut to 2021, Shweta recently shared an explosive clip that showed Abhinav manhandling their son Reyansh and snatching him away from her. Following the same, a lot of celebrities came out in support of her. Say for that matter, her first husband Raja also spoke in favour of Shweta. In a recent interview, he called her an “excellent mother”. Raja’s statement came as a surprise as the actor had earlier spoken ill about Shweta in media.

When Raja claimed Shweta Tiwari did not want him to pursue his career (2012)
In an old interview with Zoom TV, Raja had said that within three months of knowing Shweta, they got married in 1998. “We started our life in a way where we had nothing. Then somehow, she got into these shows and her show (Kasautii Zindagii Kay) got very popular.”
However, Shweta would be busy shooting for 18-20 hours for Kasuatii Zindagii Kay, he had said. He had stated that his job was that of a “house husband” and taking care of their daughter Palak. “And when I was starting for my career and my things, then suddenly everything started changing,” he had said. When asked if Shweta wanted him to take care of the home and the kid and not pursue his career, Raja had mentioned, “I feel that. Yes, of course very strongly.”
When Raja blamed Shweta for Palak’s harassment row (2019)
After Shweta reportedly filed a police complaint against Abhinav for allegedly slapping Palak and making obscene comments, her first husband Raja blamed Shweta for it. In an interview with Mid Day, he had said, “This was expected. My ex-wife is responsible. My ex-wife was busy with a reality show and our daughter was alone at home. Once, when I entered their house in Malad, I was shocked to see the way he (Abhinav) was staring at her and touching her inappropriately.”

Raja Chaudhary calls Shweta “very good wife”
In a recent interaction with ETimes TV, Raja Chaudhary called Shweta ‘very good wife’ and ‘excellent mother’. “See, there is no doubt that Shweta is an excellent mother and a very good wife. It is just a sheer coincidence and her bad luck that history is repeating itself with her and her second marriage too has failed,” he told the entertainment portal.
Raja wants Shweta to reconcile with Abhinav
Speaking to Saas Bahu Aur Betiyaan, Raja Chaudhary recently said that he wants Shweta to reconcile with Abhinav. “Whatever is going on between Shweta and Abhinav, I have no right to speak between them. My aim is not to build someone’s image, I just want reconciliation between the two,” he said.
