Hollywood Actor Gene Hackman And His Wife Found Dead At Their Home

Veteran Hollywood actor Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa were found dead at their home in New Mexico’s Santa Fe. The incident took place on Thursday and the police is currently investigating. According to the police, there are no signs of foul play.

Gene Hackman and Betsy Arakawa were 95 and 63 respectively. The couple’s dog was also found dead at the home. The cause of their deaths has not been disclosed yet.

Santa Fe Sherriff’s Office told Sky News, “We do not believe foul play was a factor in their deaths however, exact cause of death has not been determined at this time.”

When asked about the cause of death, Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza told the local media, “All I can say is that we’re in the middle of a preliminary death investigation, waiting on approval of a search warrant.”

Gene Hackman was one of the most celebrated actors in Hollywood. He won two Academy Awards, two British Academy Films Awards, and four Golden Globes in his long career.

He is best known for his roles in The French Connection, Unforgiven, I Never Sang For My Father, Mississipi Burning, Superman franchise, Under Fire, Power, Behind Enemy Lines, and many more. He retired from acting in 2004.
