Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar recently delighted fans with an exciting update on the much-anticipated Hera Pheri 3. In a recent interview, he hinted that the film might begin production this year.
While promoting his upcoming movie Sky Force, Akshay Kumar spoke to Pinkvilla about the status of Hera Pheri 3. He shared,
“Even I am waiting to start Hera Pheri 3. I don’t know, but if everything goes well, it will start this year.”
Reflecting on the cult status of the Hera Pheri franchise, he added,
“When we started Hera Pheri, we didn’t know it would go ahead to become such a cult. Even when I saw the film, I didn’t understand. Yes, it was funny, but none of us expected the characters of Babu Bhaiya, Raju, and Shyam to become a cult.”
Paresh Rawal Calls For A Unique Sequel
Veteran actor Paresh Rawal, in an exclusive conversation with India Today Digital, emphasized the importance of creating a standout sequel. He stated,
“The sequel should be like Munnabhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munnabhai — radically different. Take a quantum leap. Place your characters in a different background, a different world. That’s how it should be.”
He further expressed his hopes for the film, saying,
“If it comes out like that, fine. But let’s see how it works out.”
Paresh Rawal On Reuniting With Akshay Kumar & Suniel Shetty
Discussing his camaraderie with co-stars Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal remarked,
“Yeah, we still have [the same bond]. After Hera Pheri, too, we have worked in many films together. We respect each other as artists, human beings, and friends. They are all secure actors. We know what we have to do; it’s not a kind of dark area where we don’t know what is expected of us.”
