‘He touched us, sent obscene messages..’: What 17 students’ Complaints reveal about Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati – Here’s What We Know

The case against Vasant Kunj Ashram’s Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati has shocked students, parents, and others associated with the ashram. The accused, also known as Partha Sarathi, is currently on the run. Delhi Police have launched an investigation following allegations of sexual harassment and fraud made by female students at the Sri Sarada Institute of Indian Management.

According to the complaint, Partha Sarathi is accused of using abusive language and sending obscene WhatsApp and SMS messages to female PGDM students studying under the EWS scholarship. The complaint also alleges attempts to make physical contact. It was filed on August 4, 2025, by Sri P.A. Murali, Administrator of Sri Sringeri Math and its properties.

What is the complaint?

Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati: According to various reports, PA Murali, Administrator of Sri Sringeri Math, filed a complaint against the accused at the police station on August 4, 2025. There are also allegations that some female faculty and administrative officials at the institute pressured the female students to comply with the accused’s demands. This is also mentioned in the return complaints, which said that these circumstances also led to mental and physical harassment of the female students.

What does the girl students statements say about Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati

Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati: During the investigation, statements from 32 female students were recorded, with 17 alleging abusive language, obscene messages, and unwanted physical contact by the accused. Some students said faculty and administrative staff continued to pressure them despite their protests. Police noted that the accused had used his influence over a long period to intimidate students, indicating the misconduct was ongoing.

A case was registered at Vasant Kunj North police station, and multiple raids were conducted at the institute and the accused’s residence. CCTV footage was reviewed, and the NVR and hard disk from the institute were sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory. The accused remains at large. Statements of 16 students were also recorded before the JMFC, Patiala House Court, under Section 183 BNSS.
