Haryana municipal corporation election result 2026: BJP has secured a landslide victory in the Haryana municipal elections, securing a sweeping victory across multiple municipal corporations and councils, including Sonipat, Ambala and Rewari, as per trends and declared results. In comparison, Congress only managed to secure wins in select wards while Independent candidates emerged victorious in several seats.

– BJP’s Akshita Saini won from Ambala.
– BJP’s Satyanarayan urf Ajay Jangda won from Dharuhera.
– BJP’s Sham Lal Bansal is leading by a huge margin in Panchkula.
– BJP’s Vinita Pippal won from Rewari.
– BJP’s Parveen won from Sampla.
– BJP’s Rajiv Jain won from Sonepat.

In a rare setback for the ruling party, the BJP’s Nikita Goyal was defeated in Uklana by Reema Soni, an independent candidate backed by the Congress.

Haryana CM Nayab Saini reacts

Following the declaration of results and leads in several municipal elections, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini expressed happiness over the BJP’s victory.

“In the Municipal Council elections, the BJP has secured a massive victory. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to everyone. The Congress party has been engaged in spreading misinformation and misleading the people of the state. Vote counting is currently underway in Panchkula, where 10 rounds have been completed so far. After these rounds, Shyam Lal Bansal is leading by 17,500 votes. Once all the rounds are completed, we will register the biggest victory margin in Panchkula,” he said.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini accused the Congress of spreading lies and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for fulfilling his promises. He added that this was the reason behind the BJP’s historic victories in states such as West Bengal and Assam. He also claimed that the people of Haryana had given overwhelming support to the BJP in the local body elections.

“I thank Prime Minister Modi, under whose leadership BJP governments are being formed across the country. Congress relies on falsehoods while approaching the people. Prime Minister Modi delivers on every promise he makes. As a result, the BJP has achieved historic victories in West Bengal and Assam. In Haryana’s local body elections, the people have voted overwhelmingly in favour of the BJP,” he said.
