The India national cricket team is playing against Prime Minister’s XI on the day 2 of pink-ball practice match at the Manuka Oval ground in Canberra. The day 1 of the three-day practice match was washed out due to rain after which it was reduced to 45 overs per side. The opposition was wrapped up for a score of 240 runs in the first innings wherein Indian pacer Harshit Rana picked up four wickets and other bowlers except Nitish Kumar Reddy also tasted success. Rana’s performance with the ball will be a very big boost for the Indian team ahead of the Adelaide Test.

During the fourth ball of the 23rd over, Harshit Rana produced a beauty to dismiss Jack Clayton. Clayton was well settled had put up a decent third wicket partnership with Sam Konstas. Clayton tried to play across the line but completely missed the ball from Rana and got cleaned up. Harshit Rana also bowled really well during the first Test in Perth and picked up three wickets during the first innings followed by one wicket in the second innings.

The Indian team will look to Test all its resources during the pink ball practice Test match against Prime Minister’s XI. Team India has a pretty positive momentum ahead of the Adelaide Test whereas the Aussies are certainly under a lot of pressure. The load of losing the first match by a big margin and the loss of Josh Hazlewood is a big jolt to the Australian cricket team. Also, as per a stat, the Australian team has won only four Test series on their home soil after losing the first match of the series in the history of their cricket.
