Give Property Details Else Salary Will Be Put On Hold: Yogi Govt’s Action On 900 Noida Authority Employees

Nearly 900 employees of the Noida Authority are facing a salary freeze for September if they fail to upload details of their movable and immovable assets on the state’s Manav Sampada Portal by September 30. According to officials, employees who do not comply will not only lose their salary but will also be ineligible for promotions, as per a recent government order. This move follows a similar warning issued last month, which saw the salaries of 882 employees withheld for August due to non-compliance.

Extension Granted After August Salary Freeze

Originally, the deadline for submitting property details was set for August 31. As a result of non-compliance, the August salaries of 882 employees, excluding IAS and PCS officers, were withheld. However, a new order issued by state chief secretary Manoj Kumar Singh on Tuesday extended the deadline to September 30, providing some relief to employees. IAS and PCS officers have already complied with the directive, officials confirmed.

Urgent Appeal By Noida Employees’ Association

Rajkumar Singh, president of the Noida Employees’ Association, has called on all staff members to promptly upload their property details on the portal to prevent further delays in salary payments. Following the withholding of August salaries, the association sought additional time from Noida Authority CEO Lokesh M and also contacted Chief Secretary Singh, who is also the chairman of the Noida Authority.

Initiative Aimed At Curbing Corruption

The property declaration mandate is part of a state government initiative launched in August 2023, aimed at curbing corruption and promoting transparency across departments. According to the Uttar Pradesh Government Employees Conduct Rules, all state government employees must submit details of their movable and immovable assets on the Manav Sampada Portal by December 31, 2023.

UP Government Cracks Down On Employees

On September 3,2024 Uttar Pradesh government has imposed strict measures on state employees who failed to submit comprehensive details of their properties and assets by the August 31, 2024, deadline. As a penalty, the salaries of 245,000 state employees have been withheld. Despite several extensions to the deadline for submitting the information on the designated portal, the deadline was not met by all employees.
