Indian industrialist and Adani Group Chairman, Gautam Adani, congratulated President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday while also announcing a $10 billion investment commitment by the Adani Group in the United States. This investment aims to support U.S. energy security and infrastructure projects, with the goal of creating up to 15,000 jobs. While the details of the specific projects and timeline were not disclosed, Adani emphasized that this commitment aligns with the growing partnership between India and the U.S.

Adani, who heads the ports-to-energy conglomerate, shared the announcement via a post on X (formerly Twitter), expressing the Adani Group’s ambition to leverage its global expertise to drive resilient infrastructure and energy security in the U.S.

European Diplomats Visit Adani Group’s Renewable Energy Sites

In a related development, four European ambassadors from the European Union, Germany, Denmark, and Belgium visited the Adani Group’s renewable energy installations in Gujarat, India. During the visit, they explored the Khavda Renewable Energy Park, which is poised to become the world’s largest renewable energy facility, with a projected capacity of 30 GW. The park will feature both solar and wind energy projects spread across an area five times the size of Paris.

Accompanied by Adani, the diplomats also visited Mundra, home to India’s largest port, logistics, and industrial complex. Adani shared the Group’s strategic vision to expand green hydrogen production and comply with the European Union’s Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBO) standards.

Commitment to Green Energy

The visit and subsequent discussions were centered on strengthening global partnerships to drive India’s energy transition and accelerate the growth of the hydrogen ecosystem. Adani reiterated the company’s ongoing efforts to make significant strides in the renewable energy sector as part of its broader goal of transitioning India to a sustainable future. This includes $70 billion investments in green energy, such as the country’s largest solar energy installation.

Support for Donald Trump

In addition to the investment announcement, Gautam Adani also extended his congratulations to Donald Trump following his victory in the U.S. presidential election. In his post, Adani praised Trump’s tenacity, grit, and determination, describing him as a symbol of resilience and commitment to his beliefs. Adani also remarked on the strength of America’s democracy, which empowers its people and upholds the country’s founding principles.

“If there is one person on Earth who stands as the embodiment of unbreakable tenacity, unshakeable grit, relentless determination and the courage to stay true to his beliefs, it is Donald Trump,” Adani wrote on X. He called it “fascinating” to witness America’s democracy at work and congratulated Trump on his second term win as POTUS-elect.
